When you think of hackers, you probably imagine shady individuals seeking to steal identities and other sensitive information. In fact, many hackers focus on undermining the confidentiality of information. However, others are satisfied to simply disrupt legitimate access to data. These attacks against information availability are known as Denial of Service (DoS) attacks, and they can be just as disruptive to your enterprise as an information-stealing attack.
