Are You Ready for IPv6?

The world is running out of IP addresses — IPv4 addresses, that is. In January, the IANA (Internet Assigned Numbers Authority) announced that it assigned the last available block of IPv4 addresses and that supplies are limited to those on hand with the regional network authorities. Several months later, APNIC, the regional authority for Asia and the Pacific, announced restrictions on the issuance of new IP addresses, and authorities in Europe and North America are expected to soon follow suit.
