Posted on July 15, 2012 in White Papers | by

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a regulatory program created by the credit card industry to protect cardholder information from compromise due to inadequate security practices at merchants and service providers involved in processing credit card transactions.  PCI DSS contains twelve high-level requirements supported by hundreds of detailed requirements describing the technical, physical and administrative safeguards that organizations involved in credit card processing must have in place.

In this white paper, we examine the impact that the PCI DSS has on organizations of all sizes across a wide variety of industries.  We provide a brief introduction to the standard, including coverage of the top challenges and issues facing organizations subject to the standard.  We then discuss solutions to some of those issues and introduce you to the specific technologies that can help you achieve PCI DSS compliance in your business environment.
