“The Cloud” is perhaps the most used technology buzzword of this decade.  Everywhere you turn, organizations are talking about public clouds, private clouds, leveraging the cloud and moving applications into the cloud.  While cloud solutions certainly have financial and operational benefits, they also bring with them a host of security concerns that organizations must manage effectively.

In this article, we examine six of the top issues raised by organizations considering the move of information, applications and/or infrastructure to cloud-based services.  We also discuss controls that enterprises may put in place to mitigate these risks to a level that fits the organization’s risk tolerance.
